African Penguins Exhibit at the Maritime Aquarium :: For this crowd-pleasing summer exhibit of African penguins, the design began with a visual nod to the "African Underwater Safari" graphics and typography—which I had created for the Aquarium in the previous year. Working again with Director of Exhibits, Judith Bacal, from the early stages of concepts and content creation—I began with creating a flock of illustrated penguins that directed visitors to the outdoor tank exhibit space.
In addition to having fun with wayfinding opportunities, development included creating typographic and color systems, interpretive signage, maps and infographics. 🐧
